Football Fanatics Fantasy Diary

Dear Fantasy Football Diary,

All I can say is…F*** Yeah!  I won 3 out 4 games this weekend.  In my paid leagues I had my match-ups against the same dude.  Good buddy of mine, but he had to be beaten.  I did just that.

Both match-ups went to MNF.  I had a commanding lead going into the game.  He had in both leagues Houston’s D.  I was up by 27 in one and 28 in the other.  I know its possible that a D can score that much.  We saw it happen this weekend with Chicago’s D.  It did not settle well with me knowing that Houston was going up against a deflated team like the Jets.  I thought they would just crush them.  Not even make the game close.

As soon as the Jets score their first TD, I was pumping my fist in joy.  I knew that my chances of a dual beat down was very very close.   The defining moment of deciding VIctory was when the Jets ran a kickoff back for a TD.

All along, I had these match-ups in hand.  Stranger things have happened to me in the past.  I stay a little hesitant to celebrate or relax about the wins.   This weekend makes me feel real good about my fantasy teams.  Ever since my big trade in my main league, things are looking up.

I am 10 out of 12 in “FJM”.  I am 2 out of 10 in my “CBC 4 life”.  Its definitely not time to get cocky.  I like where the road is leading me at the moment.  Gotta keep this mojo going…”Smelly Pirate Hooker” and “Stage 5 Clinger”!

Chargers State of Mind

Right now, the San Diego Chargers should be proud of themselves.  They gave an extraordinary effort in the attempts to comeback from what was taken away from them.  This type of loss can have a dwindling effect on the entire team.  This will not happen to this team.  We saw the change in attitude after the loss at home against the Falcons.  They went into Kansas City and brought it to the Chiefs.

This team, OUR CHARGERS will not fold under the pressure.  Take this as a learning experience and move forward.  WE can close out games.  WE can dominate games.  This team is capable of beating any team in the league.  Unless the NFL has its say like last game.  Screw You NFL and your little boy toy Drew Brees.  And your lil Tom Brady too.  Just ranting and venting from all the hype these bastards get.

This week we get to take revenge on the NFL by after its ageless wonder, Peyton Manning and the Denver Donkies on MNF.  Will we see a team with fire in there eyes…YES!  The Chargers own Peyton Manning and especially now he is a Bronco.  This will not be an easy game, it never is with Manning at QB.  This team will come firing on all cylinders to get after him and get back to the Winners platform.

The offense took major steps forward seeing improvements from what were expected to be big contributors.  Robert Meachum and Ryan Mathews had great games.  The sky is the limit if we are able to keep our offense rolling.  The O-line played great until that last play.  Jared Gaither was a little dinged up but should be good to go for this game.

The addition of Jarret Johnson has had a tremendous impact on our team.  His leadership and toughness are clearly present.  We are fighting harder than in years past.

My biggest concern….Ours CB’s.  Cason is really have a rough time out there.  Jammer is too.  They are getting beat too often now.  Thats not good football.  We can not leave them out on an island.  They are not those type of CB’s.  The front 7 has to get to the QB to give them some form of support.

This is a must Win.  Sitting at 3-2 instead of 4-1 hurts.  The division is now very close this early in the season.  MNF the lights will be shining on the Q.  The spotlight will be on us as we take out the Aging Wonder and his donkies as they try to comeback from their own beat down.

Chargers got Blitzed by the NFL, Referees!

We were all witness’s to the BS the Chargers were put through last night on SNF.  Drew Brees and his Saints are the NFL’s little darlings.  They could not believe they were are 0-4 going into the game.  They knew of his chances at this record when they were making the schedule in the offseason.  They did what they could to sabotage the Chargers chances at ruining this stupid party that should not have been allowed in the first place.

Roger Goodell should be ashamed of himself.  Allowing all the Saints suspended coach’s and staff to attend the game.  It goes against anything and everything he has said he is.  He never stands by the punishment he hands out.   He softens the punishment because He believes it is in the best interest of the NFL for Drew Brees to get his way.  WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Drew Brees got the record.  SO WHAT!!!  He did not deserve the win.  The Chargers got hosed by a terrible officiating crew.  The ghostly calls on the last drive are proof enough.  The Saints could not stop the Chargers.  Only the Ref’s could.  They saw it.  Once they saw the Chargers making plays easily down the field, they had to step in and make sure the Saints were to celebrate the right way with a W.  The Saints were clearly holding and pushing and shoving all night.  No calls were made.  The Chargers barely touched them and got the flag thrown.

The play Melvin Ingram made on the Pick 6 hurt.  That was the correct call.  I hate to admit to that but it was.  The game was clearly in our favor at that point.  We fought back through adversity to make a run to tie or win on the final drive.  The NFL wanted no part in that.  They wanted this night to belong to the Cheating Saints.  The NFL cheated along with them.  The NFL does what it wants and we have to suffer for it.  An injustice was done and clearly they play the innocent card.

These Ref’s wether being the old ones or the replacement Ref’s can not get a call right when they have to.  This is hurting the sport of football.  The fans will still watch, but every play is now under scrutiny.

The NFL has always had something against the San DIego Chargers.  I have been saying this for years.  Teams always getting away with everything.  We get penalized for the tiniest mistakes.  Do you call that fair judgement?  I dont.

The NFL needs to act like the NCAA.  They have to power to vacate wins.  This game as well as the Packers/Seahawks game need to be overturned.  These wins are a travesty to the fans and the sport.  All of America’s eye’s were watching SNF.  Everyone saw the same plays made.  They saw a team getting beat down on their own turf and had help from the Ref’s to stop the embarrassing loss they were going to receive.

Only 2 players in the NFL get the protection that is clearly in their favor.  Drew Brees and Tom Brady.  We know the history.  Both players are the NFL’s poster boys and need to be protected at all costs.

Will the NFL admit to these statements..NO.  The proof is in the games, the new rules set in place, the hype they give these teams.  The rest of America has to suffer while the NFL dictates what the outcome of games will be.

I hope and pray my Chargers are not mentally stung by this loss as I am.  I hope this team comes back with a vengeance and rips apart opposing teams the rest of the season.  I love my Chargers and will be a passionate voice behind them for the rest of my life.  Stand up and fight back the NFL and the monster it is turning in to.  The shield only cares for its own interests.

Bolt Up San Diego and be proud of this courageous team as they fight the uphill battle clearly against them.  GO CHARGERS!!!

Chargers vs. Saints SNF Week 5

This game is almost the perfect matchup for the NFL in Week 5.  Primetime, Philip Rivers vs. Drew Brees.  Brees has a chance and most likely will get the record for most consecutive games throwing a TD pass with 49.  That is pretty darn Amazing.  I can NOT stand Drew Brees.  I wanted him out of San DIego probably more than anyone else.  I have to give credit were it is due.  He has earned it.  Turned his career around from the unsure terrible QB playing in San Diego to a Superstar.

The few issues that are wrong for this game are, the Saints are 0-4.  No one saw that coming.  The aftermath of Bounty-Gate.  The suspensions of the players.  The disarray of the organization that has come with all the publicity.  The Saints are a few plays away from being 3-1.  The Chargers can NOT overlook this team.  Nor do I think that we are.  They are dangerous.  They will play harder for Brees so he can achieve this record with a win.  No one remembers the records as easily if they come with a big fat LOSS.

I want dearly to see the Saints go 0-5.  I want to see them get worse than that.  Will that happen…?  Only the game will tell.

The Chargers have added a Veteran CB this week, Chris Carr.  To make the room for him, they let go of Michael Spurlock.  They both can do punt/kickoff return duties.  So the drop off should not be there.  We needed that veteran presence in the secondary because the Saints run multiple WR sets all game long.  They can be one of the most difficult teams to predict and cover.

This should go down to who has the ball last.  I love these types of games.  I also hate these type of games.  Playing with a lead sometimes feels like your losing.  If you get too far behind in points the uphill fight can be too much to handle.

Philip Rivers vs. Drew Brees is a game to watch.  They alone attract a lot of media attention.  Philip is the best QB to not win a Super Bowl.  Drew Brees has a Super Bowl, but its *tainted*.

Drew Brees and his Saints have had their glory.  Its time for a new Champion to emerge.  The San Diego Chargers led by Philip Rivers are up for the task.  This game will be a great test for our Defense to see what we can do against a legit Offense.  We need to put pressure on Brees to have a good chance at keeping them at bay from scoring often.

We will be ready.  This is a hostile environment.  We stormed into Kansas City and took it to them.  We can do the same to the Saints.  They will have a chip on there shoulder, so should we.

Chargers Win 38-35.  Lets root for our home town hero’s as they make there way thru a fantastic season.  Brees may get his record. He will not get the Win.  GO CHARGERS!!! BOLT UP!!!
